Ah baseball! Last night we took the family to a Somerset Patriots baseball game. The 5th grade class at my son's school sang the National Anthem so the school sold tickets to get a bunch of people out there. It was a lot of fun since my son got to see people from his class while at the game. With the Yankees in the crapper, it was really nice to just go out and actually see a good game. And, while they lost last night, the Patriots are first in their division.
I always forget how fun minor league games can be. Even in "bad" seats, you can still actually see the players. You can hear the the ball hit the catcher's mit. And when you hear the crack of the bat, you still have time to see where the ball is going, not watch the replay. It's a great way to kill a few hours on a lazy summer afternoon.
